Located between Hendersonville and Brevard, Dupont State Forest is comprised of 10,400 acres of forest, trails and waterfalls. Ranging in elevation from 2300’ to 3600’, the majority of all ridges have granite slabs and domes that are exposed. Dupont Forest contains four major waterfalls and several smaller waterfalls with approximately eighty miles of dirt roads for hiking, equestrian activities and biking.

Localized near Rosman, the French Broad River consists of 210 miles of winding stream and rapids through Western North Carolina. The third oldest river in the world, after the Nile and New Rivers, the French Broad offers visitors many recreational activities year round.

The Davidson River, located 4 miles from downtown Brevard, has been rated one of the top 100 wild trout streams in the United States. The Davidson River is easily accessible and great for fly-fishing.
